Taking a big step in their journey to partner with global sport champions across different sporting arenas and work with them to enhance their performance and operations on an ongoing basis, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into an agreement for a technology partnership with the Rajasthan Royals, champions of Indian Premier League 2008. This is the first time that an IPL team has inducted a Technology Partner into the organization to help the team stay on the championship track. Under the terms of the agreement, which was signed this week, TCS will be the Technology Partner of the Rajasthan Royals for an initial duration of three years. TCS will provide expertise in information technology solutions to the Rajasthan Royals organization, on and off the field, in an effort to enhance the efficiency of the organization and help them retain their title as IPL Champions in in the IPL season 2 as well. TCS will work closely with the professionals engaged with the team to improve their performance on the field and the franchise's ability to offer greater value in terms of enhancing the viewing experience for the fans With this partnership Rajasthan Royals hopes this association will them strengthen their multiple fan contact opportunities on platforms of web & mobile and bring our fans and supporters across the world closer to them.
TCS works with other sports organizations like racing major Ferrari in formula one and Ducati, the leader in bike racing. In the past few years, TCS has also consulted with the Indian national cricket team on lateral thinking and communication strategies and with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on organizational structure and effectiveness as well other technology solutions.
