Redhat has announced the launch of Fedora Core 10, the community version of Redhat's Linux client operating system.
Some of the features that this Operating system provides are:
AMQP Infrastructure: A technology that makes it easy to build scalable, interoperable, high-performance enterprise applications
Appliance Tools: Tools and meta-data that make it easier for anyone (ISVs, developers, OEMS, etc) to create and deploy virtual appliances
Better Printing and connection sharing: Improve management and handling of printers and network connectivity
Better Remote Support: Make it easier to connect to remote controls and have them work with many applications.
Better and faster Start-up: Fedora takes less then 30 seconds to start up
Improved PulseAudio: The PulseAudio sound server now helps in reducing power consumption and is less dependent on audio hardware
First Aid Kit: First Aid Kit is an automated recovery tool that brings together common recovery processes and applies them to a system
Kernel Modes Setting for Graphics: Move graphic mode initialization from the X server's DDX drivers to the kernel. So basically fast user switching will be faster and smoother, making Fedora more pleasant for non-technical and casual users.
Sugar Desktop: Include the Sugar Desktop (used in OLPC) in Fedora. This will ensure that fedora works smoothly on the EEPC's and netbooks.
Security Audit: A new and better security audit system and intrusion detection system
