ClearApps has released a new version of Network Inventory Advisor, with configuration, security, fault and license management features. According to ClearApps their product is ideal for businesses these days require cost-effective solutions to better manage their networks.
Network Inventory Advisor is designed to help network administrators and IT managers optimize IT budgets by increasing the efficiency of network asset management routines such as software and hardware inventory, license tracking, security and patch management. Network Inventory Advisor 3.6 includes improvements in batch nodes editing and management, hardware changes, tracking and alerting, network reporting and summaries.
Network Inventory Advisor only needs to be installed on a Windows PC, in any network. Network administrators can also scan nodes remotely (including Mac OS, Linux and other network devices via SNMP). Different techniques are used to provide network management. Administrators can switch between agentless scanning and remotely deploy agent utility. All collected data can be analysed and used in various pre-defined/custom reports. The reports can also be exported into multiple formats for future analysis and implementation.
Network Inventory Advisor can be integrated into an existing system management solution because of its command-line interface. There are plans to provide a cross-platform GUI as well.
