Candidates desirous of appearing for the certification exams conducted by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) can register by filling in the online registration form. They can pay for the exam electronically through a Visa or MasterCard credit card.
The portal is highly user friendly, helping the candidates select the time and date of the certification examination.
BSE Training Institute (BTI), set up by the BSE 15 years ago, is a training facility in financial and securities market in India. It includes a Certification Center that has Thin Film Transistor (TFT) monitors and Linux operating platform.
The institute offers various courses of varying duration. It currently offers 36 courses, which are attended by over 6,500 participants a year. This also includes participation from international candidates. BTI also conducts various customized programs for corporate and financial institutions.

BSE's Basic course on the stock market is a 4-day course, which gives a basic idea of the stock market and its functions.
As for the eligibility of the candidates for appearing for the exam, one should have passed Standard 12th in any stream. They are expected to be comfortable with written and spoken English. For the Certificate Programme on Capital Markets (CPCM) course, the candidate should be a graduate in any stream.
The CPCM is offered jointly by BSE, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), and Mumbai University. Any graduate stock broker, sub-broker, investment consultant, portfolio manager, professional from the depository, banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, custodians, clearing houses, financial institutions, and management students is welcome to take advantage of this comprehensive program.
BSE is also in the process of conducting online training programs in the near future.
BSE offers several incentives. For example, any student or a group of minimum 20 persons attracts a discount of 25%. Also, a corporate that nominates 5 participants for a program can nominate the 6th person free of cost.
